NaNoWriMo has been such a great experience so far. It’s been so great having a deadline because it’s made me sit and write EVERY DAY, despite having all the usual things to do as well. If nothing else, it’s taught me that I can make the time if I try hard enough, so I won’t be able to use the ‘too much else to be done’ excuse any more!

My characters by and large have been very cooperative and have thrown some great ideas my way, as well as a few surprises which have actually altered the story for the better. I got to 30,000 words yesterday, so now I just need to keep up the momentum, and a good supply of tea and chocolate.

Hope it’s going well for everyone else taking part, both officially and unofficially. Here’s to achieving the magic 50,000!
